Wouldn’t it be nice to be browsing a particular page on your website and start testing it across multiple browsers and devices with just a few clicks of the mouse? Well, we have a bookmarklet to allow you to do just that!
After you click the bookmarklet, select the browser and device you’d like to run a live test on, or go to directly to automated screenshots. We even have quick links to the most commonly tested browsers. Since I’m running a Windows machine, we’ll do our test against Mac OSX 11.1 and Safari 9, because what developer doesn’t have a 60 inch iMac, right?
After you’ve picked your configurations, click “Go” or the pre-configured browser/device combination. And there you have it. You’ve just launched a live test directly from your web page, saving you time and making your browser testing easier than ever.
- Logging in lands on blank screen: The bookmarklet uses third-party cookies to check your CrossBrowserTesting.com login via the page you are testing. Check your browser’s security settings for allowing third-party cookies. You can either turn this on, or if you purposely have this off, add CrossBrowserTesting.com to your browser’s whitelist / trusted sites.
