Most VNC Clients will allow you to copy-and-paste text from your local desktop to the underlying Live Test session. In cases where this does not work, or there are issues, we also have a ‘Send Text’ button in the console which will allow you to send text to a remote browser. To use it, you have to follow these steps:
- Put your cursor in the field you want to paste text into on the remote system. This may be the URL, or an input field.
- Paste your text in the send text field.
- Click the ‘send’ button.
The text will be typed at the location of the cursor on the remote system in moments.
NOTE: Because we capture the CTRL-V for pasting text to the remote session, you cannot use this key combination to copy text within the remote session. Instead, use right-click or one of the edit commands on the remote instance.
ANOTHER NOTE: Text cannot be copied from the remote session to your local desktop at this time. If you really need to, you can open an email system like Google or Yahoo and email yourself the text from the underlying session.
